We are here to answer questions about asthma.
Our mission is to collaborate with local and international asthma experts to offer Georgia citizens and healthcare providers ways to improve asthma care in hospitals, clinics, churches, schools, and in the home.
SUPPORTING THE ASTHMA COMMUNITY
Georgia Asthma Coalition (GAC) offers a broad array of services geared to providing asthma education to care providers (as well as patients and those who surround them on a daily basis, their Asthma Community. The patient's Asthma Community includes the family primary care providers, as well as specialists like allergists and lung doctors, Asthma Educators-Certified, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, parents and grandparents, School Nurses, teachers, coaches, athletic trainers, teammates, clergy, and day-care providers.
Our goal is to improve "the Asthma Community's" knowledge of the signs, symptoms, and treatment of asthma, as well as increase your confidence and skill in taking your prescribed medications. We know there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all approach to asthma and airway disease, so we never use a one-size-fits-all approach to your breathing problems. The Georgia Asthma Coalition seeks partners and funding to help those with asthma to live, learn, thrive, and properly adhere to your primary care provider's medical asthma regimen.
